The Method

Coach three dimensions. Measure one funnel.

The HustleCrowe Method treats residential door-to-door performance as three interacting human dimensions (Talent, Skill and Hustle) and checks all three against the numbers that every sale has to pass through.

The dimensions

Talent. Skill. Hustle.

The HustleCrowe triangleTalent, Skill and Hustle sit at the three corners of a triangle. Results sit in the middle, where all three meet.RESULTSWHERE ALL THREE MEETTALENTTHE NATURAL ADVANTAGESKILLTHE DEVELOPED ADVANTAGEHUSTLETHE EXECUTION ADVANTAGE
Talent The Natural AdvantageWhat you bring to the door. Talent creates potential.Skill The Developed AdvantageWhat you learn to do exceptionally well. Skill converts potential.Hustle The Execution AdvantageWhat you consistently choose to do. Hustle creates opportunities.

Talent may influence how easily certain behaviors develop. Skill is trainable. Hustle controls how consistently skills get used in the field. The funnel tells you whether any of it is working.

How they interact

Each side multiplies the others.

None of the three works alone. Strength on one side only becomes results when the other two give it somewhere to go.

+

Talent + Skill

Natural rapport becomes repeatable. A rep who connects easily learns why it works, and can do it on a bad day too.

+

Skill + Hustle

Good technique meets enough doors to matter. Each skill improvement is multiplied by every conversation that follows.

+

Hustle + Talent

Natural strengths get enough repetitions to show up in the numbers, instead of in a handful of great conversations a week.

Failure modes

What two out of three looks like.

Each failure mode leaves a recognizable fingerprint in the funnel. That's what makes it coachable.

without

Talent without Hustle

Unrealized potential

The rep who's great at the door, at not enough doors. Conversations go well, homeowners like them, but the day starts late and ends early.

In the numbers
Healthy contact and presentation rates. Low knocks per day. Sales stall because opportunity volume is the limit.
Where to start
Activity goals, route planning, start times. Protect the rate while raising the volume.

without

Hustle without Skill

Inefficient effort

The rep who outworks everyone and still finishes mid-board. Effort is real, but it leaks through a weak funnel.

In the numbers
High knocks per day. One or more stage rates well below the rep's peers or their own better weeks.
Where to start
Find the single leakiest stage and coach that behavior. More doors won't fix a conversion problem.

without

Skill without Execution

Unused capability

The rep who knows exactly what to do, and does it some of the time. Strong in role-play, inconsistent in the field.

In the numbers
Good rates on the days they work, but selling days, knocks or follow-ups vary a lot week to week.
Where to start
Consistency systems: a daily minimum, a follow-up calendar, a weekly numbers review.

The proof layer

Measured by the funnel.

Talent, Skill and Hustle are coaching language. The funnel is arithmetic. Use the second to check the first.

Sales=Knocks×Contact Rate×Presentation Rate×Close Rate

Knocks × (Contacts ÷ Knocks) × (Presentations ÷ Contacts) × (Sales ÷ Presentations) = Sales

Where each dimension tends to show up first. Every stage uses all three.
StageMetricShows up firstWhy

PresentationPresentation rateTalentRapport opens the door; opener and discovery (skill) turn it into a real conversation.
CloseClose rateSkillValue, objection handling and the ask. Follow-up discipline (hustle) recovers the “not yets.”

What this is, and isn't

The funnel equation is an identity: it's true by definition, because every sale passes through each stage. That's why it's useful for diagnosis.

Talent × Skill × Hustle is not a scientific equation, and coaching scores are informed judgment, not measurements. Use them to decide what to look at; use the funnel to check whether it changed.

Professional by default

The field standard.

See it in your numbers.

Put a month of activity into the calculator and find the stage to inspect first.
